CONSTITUTION (AMENDMENT No. 10) ACT, 1928
AN ACT TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION BY DELETING ARTICLES 47 AND 48 THEREOF AND MAKING THE NECESSARY CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS IN OTHER ARTICLES. [12th July, 1928.]
BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTAT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:—
1. Amendment of Article 14 of the Constitution
Article 14 of the Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion of the words “and Initiative” now contained therein.
2. Repeal of Article 47 of the Constitution
The Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion of Article 47 thereof.
3. Repeal of Article 48 of the Constitution
The Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion of Article 48 thereof.
4. Amendment of Article 50 of the Constitution
Article 50 of the Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion of the words “and as such shall be subject to the provisions of Article 47 hereof” now contained therein.
5. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Amendment No. 10) Act, 1928.
