DE BHRÍ gur cead, de bhua Airteagal 46 den Bhunreacht, foráil ar bith den Bhunreacht a leasú ar an modh a shocraítear leis an Airteagal sin:
AGUS DE BHRÍ go bhfuil beartaithe Airteagal 40 den Bhunreacht a leasú:
Achtaítear ag an Oireachtas ar an ábhar sin mar a leanas:
1. Airteagal 40 den Bhunreacht a leasú
Leasaítear leis seo mar a leanas Airteagal 40 den Bhunreacht:
(a) cuirfear “ceannairceach” in ionad “diamhaslach nó ceannairceach” i mír i d’fho-alt 1° d’alt 6 den téacs Gaeilge;
(b) cuirfear “seditious” in ionad “blasphemous, seditious,” i mír i d’fho-alt 1° d’alt 6 den téacs Sacs-Bhéarla.
2. Lua
(1) An Seachtú Leasú is Tríocha ar an mBunreacht a thabharfar ar an leasú a dhéantar ar an mBunreacht leis an Acht seo.
(2) Féadfar an tAcht um an Seachtú Leasú is Tríocha ar an mBunreacht (Cion a aisghairm arb éard é ní diamhaslach a fhoilsiú nó a aithris), 2018 a ghairm den Acht seo.

THIRTY-SEVENTH AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION (REPEAL OF OFFENCE OF PUBLICATION OR UTTERANCE OF BLASPHEMOUS MATTER) ACT 2018
An Act to amend the Constitution
[27th November, 2018]
WHEREAS by virtue of Article 46 of the Constitution any provision of the Constitution may be amended in the manner provided by that Article:
AND WHEREAS it is proposed to amend Article 40 of the Constitution:
Be it therefore enacted by the Oireachtas as follows:
1 .Amendment of Article 40 of the Constitution
Article 40 of the Constitution is hereby amended as follows:
(a) “ceannairceach” shall be substituted for “diamhaslach nó ceannairceach” in paragraph i of subsection 1° of section 6 of the Irish text;
(b) “seditious” shall be substituted for “blasphemous, seditious,” in paragraph i of subsection 1° of section 6 of the English text.
2. Citation
(1) The amendment of the Constitution effected by this Act shall be called the Thirty-seventh Amendment of the Constitution.
(2) This Act may be cited as the Thirty-seventh Amendment of the Constitution (Repeal of offence of publication or utterance of blasphemous matter) Act 2018.
